International livestock transport.

 

Case:
Since 1 January 2008, all livestock vehicles which carry out transports lasting over 8 hours must meet guideline EG1/2005. Livestock vehicles must be fitted with temperature monitoring. For this reason, E. van Veen Transport from Zoeterwoude sought to find a system of this kind, which sounds an alarm when the pre-set values are exceeded. New livestock vehicles are also required to have a system which registers the position of the vehicle during loading, unloading and rest. Alarms and temperature values must be recorded every 15 minutes.

Solution:
The R. van Veen Transport combination is fitted with the T Comm Tracking & Tracing vehicle tracking system. The simplicity of the system and the wireless sensors allowed this to be carried out cheaply, quickly and reliably. The GPS/GPRS-system allows the vehicle to be tracked at all times. Wireless sensors monitor all the temperatures in the vehicle and the doors opening. All the data is accessible at all times, anywhere in the world, via the web application. If the temperature drops below the pre-set value or a door open which should not be opened, the person responsible for the vehicle receives an alarm via text message and/or e-mail.
